Product & platform leader for regulated enterprise SaaS. I take platforms from concept to enterprise adoption, owning vision, strategy, roadmap, and P&L.
Enterprise B2B SaaS product leader with 30 years building and scaling platforms from concept through enterprise adoption. I specialize in regulated environments, translating complex policy and compliance requirements into durable platform logic that customers trust and depend on.
I'm at my best where technology is central to the business model and regulatory complexity is a differentiator rather than a barrier: setting long-term direction while keeping execution focused, making the hard prioritization calls, and building high-performing product teams.
The fastest way to lose a team's trust is to overstate. Customers, boards, and engineers have relied on my read precisely because it's accurate and current, not because it's confident. I'd rather scope a problem honestly than oversell a certainty I don't have.
Some decisions are cheap to get wrong and some are catastrophic; the skill is telling them apart before they bite. Whether it's revenue concentration, a regulatory shift, or platform fragility, I move on the asymmetric ones ahead of the curve rather than after.
The hardest markets to enter are the ones where compliance is built into the product. I treat regulatory complexity as a durable advantage and design for it from day one, rather than bolting it on later.
I look for the reusable system underneath a one-off request, so that today's solution compounds into tomorrow's leverage.
I am at my best where technology is the core of the business, not a supporting function. Whether it is software sold as the product or a platform the business is built on, I want to own the product and the outcome it drives, end to end: the vision, the roadmap, the hard prioritization calls, and the P&L that proves it worked.
I have always done my best work at small and mid-sized companies with real upside, where the work is close enough to the result that the people building it are invested in how it turns out. I would rather be invested in the outcome than simply employed by it.
Complex and regulated markets do not scare me. I have spent most of my career building where a wrong answer carries real consequences, and I have learned to treat that complexity as something to engineer into the product rather than work around. That is product work, and it is the part I enjoy most: turning a hard, ambiguous problem into logic the business can rely on.
That mix, technically central, room to grow, a problem worth solving well, is where I do my best work.
Most people in tech treat regulation as a cost to be minimized. After most of a career building in one of its most regulated corners, I have come to believe the opposite.

When a major new federal benefit program was announced, the window to support it was measured in weeks, not quarters. I led the platform integration end to end and got every enterprise customer live on day one of the program. Within 90 days, the large majority of the existing customer base had adopted the new capability, substantially increasing billable volume and adding significant new recurring revenue. The lesson that stuck with me: in regulated markets, speed to compliance is itself the product.
Our platform ran on deeply entrenched on-premises infrastructure, defended by long-tenured stakeholders who had good reasons to distrust change. The technical case for moving to the cloud was the easy part. The real work was building the internal coalition to make it happen. I led that effort, secured executive alignment, and directed a ten-month migration to Microsoft Azure that cut annual platform downtime from more than 96 hours to under 32 seconds, all during a period of significant customer growth. Leadership through organizational resistance, not just architecture, is what made it land.
When the federal program that drove a large share of our revenue was wound down by Washington, the entire industry contracted at once. I focused on what we could control: managing cost structure, protecting the core customer base, and keeping the platform indispensable to the customers who remained. We held our ground while peers lost theirs. Building something is one skill; stewarding it through an external shock you did not choose is a different one, and arguably the harder test.
Serve on the association's regulatory and government affairs committee, contributing to strategy on federal rulemaking and advocacy positions affecting the connectivity programs my customers operate in. During my tenure, the association engaged in FCC v. Consumers' Research; I took part in the committee's strategy discussions on the industry's position, with the legal effort led by association counsel. The Court's ruling preserved the federal universal-service funding that those connectivity programs depend on.
Recognized subject-matter contributor across more than a decade of federal regulatory engagement.
Earned a Net Promoter Score of 100 in an independent, third-party survey: every respondent a promoter, none a detractor.
Built one of the first shared data-integrity systems in my market, a model later mirrored by federal infrastructure and adopted as the category reference point.
